Make your way through Värmland’s varied and beautiful countryside by bicycle or on foot. Klarälvsbanan with connection to Mörudden and Klarälvsleden make up a 220 kilometer long cycle path. You travel through open farmland and beautiful forest scenery with the meandering river Klarälven as your constant companion on the way. Along the way you’ll find a string of experiences, for example: you may swim, fish, paddle a canoe or go horseback riding. When you get hungry or need a rest there are numerus of cozy little picnic areas and cafes where you can replenish your energy reserves. Stay comfortably in a cabin, hotel, hostel or experience the wildlife and camp under the stars. The relatively easy gradient of Klarälvsbanan makes it suitable for family members of all ages and accessible to persons with disabilities.

Klarälvsbanan (the Klarälven trail) is an outdoor experience which constitutes 90 kilometers of asphalt that meanders straight through the landscapes of Värmland, from Karlstad in the south to Hagfors in the north. You will pass Forshaga, Deje, Ransäter, Munkfors, Hagfors and reach the end in Uddeholm.
Klarälvsbanan is a disused railway embankment. The entire trail is coated with asphalt and traffic is strictly prohibited. Klarälvsbanan will take you from an open farmland in the south to the dark and welcoming forest in the north.
